Basil, (Ocimum basilicum), also called sweet basil, is an annual herb of the mint family (Lamiaceae), grown for its aromatic leaves. Grown in soil-less culture. Basil leaves have a sweet delicate flavour and aroma. Wrap the basil leaves in a dry paper towel and place them inside a plastic bag. Seal and store for one to two weeks.
